Donated by Equine Advocates Rescue and Sanctuary in Chatham, NY.
This Wild Burro Experience invites the raffle winner and 3 friends/family members (up to 4 people total) to witness a "gentling" session close up with "Bruce", "Dylan", "Sly" (captured by the BLM in Arizona) and "Willie" (captured in Nevada) - four Wild Burros rescued by Equine Advocates (EA) in June of 2025.
Hear their stories and learn about how the accelerated roundups of America's Wild Horses and Burros is leading to their extinction. EA decided to save four of them to help shine a spotlight on this critical issue and so that students and visitors to the sanctuary could better understand their plight and be inspired to take action.
The session will be moderated by Equine Advocates President Susan Wagner and Equine Care Manager Melissa Murray. A souvenir packet including bios of each Wild Burro and a 2027 Equine Advocates Calendar will be gifted to the winner and each of his or her guests. They also will be welcome to tour the sanctuary, home to 82 equines, including Horses, Ponies, Donkeys and Mules.
The value of this raffle prize is priceless! This opportunity make never be available again and is not typically offered ti the general public.
